slices of whole grain bread
1 tsp soft non-hydrogenated margarine 5 mL
0.5 oz 1 slice of part skim mozzarella cheese 15 g
1 oz 2 slices of deli turkey, chicken or ham 30 g
slices of tomato
2 tsp light ranch style salad dressing or honey mustard 10 mL
Serve with 100% apple juice and a side green salad.


Step 1
Spread margarine on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 2
Place 1 slice of bread, margarine side down on Panini press and top with cheese, meat and tomato.

Step 3
Spread ranch dressing on remaining bread slice and place on top with margarine side out.

Step 4
Close Panini press and cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.


If you don’t have a Panini press, you can use a nonstick skillet and turn the sandwich about halfway during cooking to brown both sides of the bread, just like a regular grill cheese sandwich.
